We are pleased to share several recent features showcasing the work and impact of Cass County Court and Pretrial Services. Our program was highlighted in Justice System Partners’ newest resource, Transforming the Pretrial Period from Compliance to Support, which explores approaches that move beyond traditional supervision toward more supportive, person-centered practices.

We also had the opportunity to contribute to APPR’s latest Jail Review Resource, adding our perspective on effective and equitable pretrial strategies. In addition, APPR has released an updated version of our Stories from the Field feature, which offers an in-depth look at our journey and progress. The updated story can be accessed here.
Over the years, our innovative therapeutic model of pretrial supervision has been featured across numerous professional publications and articles. These spotlights reflect the ongoing growth and measurable impact of our approach—one rooted in partnership, support, and evidence-informed practices.
Our Director, Hillary Hartoin, has also engaged with national audiences through a series of webinars, several of which are linked below. Her contributions help share our lessons learned, promote success-based and holistic pretrial supervision, and support other jurisdictions interested in implementing similar models.
