On Friday, June 11, 2020, the Pulaski County Veteran’s Treatment Court held its first graduation with three graduates who were honored for their completion of and accomplishments during the program. Created in 2018, the Veteran’s Treatment Court provides an alternative to traditional case processing for Veterans consisting of intensive substance abuse and mental health programming. Veterans are connected with mentors who provide advice, personal experience, guidance and support as they work towards recovery. As explained by Superior Court Judge Crystal Kocher, the goal of this program is to “support and encourage justice-involved veterans during their recovery and assist the individuals we serve in returning to the active and purposeful citizens who honorably served our country.” To
